Where Is The Best Loot In DayZ?

One of the most asked questions I get about DayZ is where is all the loot? Players tend to spend a lot of time looting around where they initially spawned. Spawn areas will always be low on loot because they will have been picked clean by other players.

The best way to find loot quickly is to move inland. Move away from the initial spawn point by heading for a town that fewer people have had chance to loot.

You will need to be checking all the buildings including sheds and garages, hunting stands, barns and cowsheds and vehicles. Look everywhere. Dont forget to use the tab key to check the inventory of the location where you are standing.

Using the tab key will assist you in finding smaller items that are typically difficult to see like some of the smaller food items or ammunitions.

I am always surprised by the loot you can find in areas other people tend not to search such as vehicles or under boats for example. Make sure that you check kiosks in towns and if your looking for an early weapon try and check out the local police station or any nearby hunting shops or hunting stands.

Why Is Loot So Hard To Find In DayZ?

New players often ask why is it so hard to find loot adn there are a number of reasons for this.

Fistly loot is very hard to find in spawn areas because most of the easy loot will have been mopped up by other fresh spawns. In order to find loot quicker, try moving inland by following a road, track or pylons so that you find a town that hasn’t been looted as much.

Also, loot can be quite small and easily missed if you aren’t paying attention. Make sure you check all the areas in detail to make sure you don’t miss anything.

How Do I Get More Loot In DayZ?

You can get more loot in DayZ by making sure that you loot areas that havent been looted recently. Make sure that you have decent carrying capacity by looking for a large backpack and always switch out clothes with fewer inventory slots for better options. This will give you more space to carry more stuff.

Dont forget to combine similar items so they take less space in your inventory and you can always keep your magazines and weapons fully loaded which saves space on ammo.

Looting the infected is a good way to find more loot and other players are a great source of loot. If you can kill another player be prepared to grab what you need quickly as they may have a buddy who could be set up in an overwatch position on the players corpse.

High loot areas include airfields and military locations. You should consider stashing some of your loot before you enter these areas so that you can fill up your inventory while you are there. Later on you can decide what to keep and what to ditch in the safety of a hiding spot.

The best loot in the game, often referred to as high-end loot, is often found in the military bases or airfields.

You could try looking for loot in the following areas but be careful as these high-end areas will often be crawling with skilled players who are likely to be waiting with sniper rifles to plug you from a long distance.

Best Military Base To Loot In DayZ

Tisy military base is often considered the best base for high-end gear on the whole of the map in Chernarus. Although many players do set out to head in this direction, because of the distance from early spawn areas, it can take some time for players to make it here and so it can be sparse on other players.

Here you will find all manner of abandoned facilities such as barracks, tents, and utility buildings that spawn all manner of high-end guns and ammunition as well as grenader and NBC Gear. Watchtowers, gatehouses and administration buildings also spawn plenty of loot.

Always consider that Tisy is a dangerous area and you should aim to loot the base and get out as quickly as you can if you want to survive for a long time.

Best Loot Locations In Dayz Livonia

Loot locations in Livonia are very different from the Chernarus Map as the military bases are few and far between. You should be able to find some military loot within many of the ruined houses but don’t expect to find high end loot there.

Nadbor is good for general loot and there is good military loot in the military base near Swarog and at Bielawa Military base and nearby airfield.
